And this study was compared and analyzed the results of tensile strength by creating various measurement environments and methods. The tensile strength of each sample was evaluated through the composition of the physiological environment using a constant-temperature water tank and the lens water removal method using a wypall. As a result, the method through water removal from lens was the easiest measurement method, and reproducibility was different depending on the water content of the lens. Therefore, it is urgent to establish a standard for measuring tensile strength of medical devices such as hydrogel contact lenses, not the standard for measuring plastic tensile strength currently in use. Abstract

본 연구는 콘택트렌즈의 인장강도 시험을 정확하게 평가하기 위하여 하이드로젤 콘택트렌즈를 제조한 후, 다양한 측정 환경 및 방법을 조성하여 인장강도 측정결과를 비교, 분석하였다. 항온수조를 사용한 생리적 환경 조성 및 와이프올을 사용한 렌즈 물기 제거법을 통해 각각의 인장강도를 평가하였다. 그 결과, 렌즈의 물기 제거를 통한 방법이 가장 용이한 측정방법으로 나타났으며, 렌즈의 함수율에 따라 재현성이 각각 다르게 나타났다. 따라서 현재 사용되고 있는 플라스틱 인장강도 측정의 규격이 아닌 하이드로젤 콘택트렌즈와 같은 의료기기의 인장강도 측정을 위한 표준화 규격 제정이 시급하며, 하이드로젤 렌즈 특성에 따른 인장강도의 측정방법에 대한 각각의 기준이 독립적으로 필요할 것으로 판단된다.In this study, a hydrogel contact lens was manufactured to accurately evaluate the tensile strength test of the contact lens.
