Abstract

Increasing the number of patients at an ophthalmic appointment with chronic eye diseases requires a more detailed analysis of diagnosis and treatment. When analyzing the incidence of patients with chronic blepharitis, the vast majority with demodecous etiology of ocular lesions were revealed. The treatment of eye demodecosis has been sufficiently studied. However, even if patients comply with the recommendations of doctors, if there is a positive trend, there is a high risk of recurrence of this disease. Under our supervision were 326 patients diagnosed with chronic blepharitis of both eyes. All patients were divided into two groups. In the first group, the treatment was carried out according to clinical recommendations, in the second, the immunomodulatory drug Proteflazide was added to the treatment, as well as the wide-spectrum antihelminth agent Albendazole. Keywords: demodecosis, demodex, eye, demodecosis treatment
