Abstract
The article discusses a current pedagogical problem: the role of motivation in the formation and development of educational and cognitive activity of a primary school student. The problem is considered on the basis of lessons on the subject “The World Around Us”. The conditions for constructing the learning process are revealed, in which the student’s acceptance and retention of the motive for activity is successful.
