Abstract
Microscopic Electrical Signals and Bone Regeneration
Fuping You, Mingming Xu, Xuehui Zhang, and co-workers discover a novel insight into how electrical signals at the micro- and nanoscale regulate immune cells to promote bone regeneration. This cover illustration uses the electrically charged cartoon characters to represent macrophages activated by electrical signals. The heterogeneous electrical signals provided by the membrane activate macrophages into a pro-angiogenic phenotype, thereby enhancing angiogenesis and accelerating bone defect repair. More details can be found in article number 2414278.
