This contributes to the integration of Ukraine into the European Union due to the increase in foreign trade operations, which will lead to the growth of the country's economy and help attract foreign investment. Purpose. The purpose of the work is to study the actual problem of the effectiveness of the existing tariff policy in the ports of Ukraine; the impact of tariff policy on the competitiveness of domestic ports in international trade; finding the best options for tariff policy in the conditions of the world maritime market. Methods. The following methods were used to solve the problem: theoretical generalization; method of systematization; graphic method. Results. Мodern current problems in tariff policy of ports of Ukraine are presented and the optimal ways of their solution are found. The main factors of decrease of competitiveness of domestic ports are determined. Conditions for creating a competitive environment of ports of Ukraine are considered and an analysis of possible types of tariff policy of domestic ports with the separation of positive and negative sides of each type is carried out. Originality. The need to improve the tariff policy of the ports of Ukraine is due to the decline in cargo traffic by sea, and consequently the decline in the competitiveness of domestic ports. It is proposed to create new rational approaches to the development of the tariff system for the ports of Ukraine, taking into account international experience. Abstract

Introduction. Currently, there is a need to improve the tariff policy of the seaports of Ukraine.
