Use of single switch and bridgeless topology makes the proposed topology a suitable choice compared to other existing AC-DC converter topology. The conventional AC-DC converters with bridge configuration supply a pulsating ripple signal to the input of the converter circuit which creates lots of disturbance in the overall power system. Due to absence of bridge rectifier such problems do not arise in the proposed converter and it has also resolve the problem of using high value filtering element at the input side. Comparisons are being made between proposed and conventional converters. Comparison analysis makes it clear that proposed AC-DC converter performed better than conventional converters.
