Abstract

This paper proposes a modified Boost converter topology which can supply DC as well as AC loads simultaneously. This topology is realized by replacing the controlled switch of a conventional Boost converter with a voltage source inverter (VSI) bridge network. The duty cycle of the Boost converter, in this case, is controlled by the shoot-through period of any particular inverter leg.
