Abstract
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS) of presumed autoimmune origin which develops in a genetic susceptible individual triggered by additional environmental factors. In this review we'll provide an update of basic pathogenic concepts.
