La religiosidad de santa Teresa de Jesús en el campo de la nueva espiritualidad monástica: una aproximación a la santidad femenina en la primera Modernidad

Abstract

RESUMEN: Las interpretaciones sobre el patrimonio cultural de Santa Teresa han adoptado formas variadas a lo largo del tiempo, desde el análisis de su valor histórico y religioso, hasta su indudable estatus en la industria de objetos y reliquias. Sin embargo, en este artículo nos proponemos revisar otra parte de su legado, reflejado en su desafiante autoridad literaria, epistolar y pedagógica, en tanto estos tres espacios —el comunicativo, el íntimo y el comunitario— formaron parte de la elaboración de su propio modelo de santidad y de su inagotable y eficaz programa cultural y formativo. ABSTRACT: Interpretations of St. Teresa's cultural heritage have taken various forms over time, from the analysis of its historical and religious value, to its undoubted status in the industry of objects and relics. However, in this article we propose to review another part of his legacy, reflected in his challenging epistolary, corporal and pedagogical authority, and to endow it with value, while these three spaces, the communicative, the intimate and the communitarian, were part of the elaboration of his own model of holiness and of his inexhaustible and effective cultural and formative program.
