It is quantitative research.  The test or data collecting instrument to use in this research is a self-made vocabulary test in fill-in format. The result of computing the data analysis of mean score in pre-test and post-test there is a significant difference. The means of pretest and posttest data are 3.1 and 4.9 respectively, and the standard deviations of pretest and posttest data are 1.3 and 1.2 respectively. Abstract

本研究旨在描述学生词汇掌握的成就,并于2019-2020学年在nuul Yaqin Tondano MTsS进行。选择一年级的一个班作为实验对象。这个班由25名学生组成。这些学生是这项研究的参与者。作者采用了一个班级的前测和后测的预实验设计。这是定量研究。本研究使用的测试或数据收集工具是自制的填空式词汇测试。计算数据分析结果显示,前测和后测的平均得分存在显著差异。前测和后测数据均值分别为3.1和4.9,前测和后测数据标准差分别为1.3和1.2。由此可见,将歌词作为一种提高学生词汇掌握的教学手段是有效的,因为它可以创造有利的、积极的学习环境,从而激发学生提高词汇的积极性。关键词:词汇掌握;歌曲抒情;
