Abstract

This paper demonstrates how engineered electromagnetic surfaces can be designed and deployed in an urban corridor to enable non-line-of-sight (NLOS) millimetre-wave communications between connected vehicles to support massive automotive sensing. Ray-tracing is used to show the potential improvement in NLOS coverage at 28 GHz, enabling vehicle-to-vehicle high-data-rate transfer of sensor data.
