Abstract

The aim of the article is to indicate selected editorial problems that can be found in the critical edition of Maria Konopnicka’s literary works prepared by Jan Czubek in 1915. The textological solutions adopted by the editor contain errors and thus have an impact on the analysis and interpretation of the writer’s works. Decisions regarding the choice of the textual basis are often not consistent with the last variant of the text prepared by KoKonopnicka. The way of implementing amendments to the text by the editor repeatedly is arousing anxiety, since he is not informing the reader about his interferences in the text. The author discusses the shape of poetical pieces from the critical edition and their variability. Research problems and tasks for the editor who will undertake the preparation of the new edition of Maria Konopnicka’s literary works were also defined in the article.
