Abstract

Any serious climate change model shows the extreme risks to life, food and habitat were we to continue on current ways of making electricity, heat and transportation by combusting fossil fuels. The question for humanity is if the energy from the sun can become a benign alternative in time. Solar energy is now 2.5% of electricity worldwide.
