A Quasi-Analytic Solution for Harmonic Power Flow Analysis of a Full Bridge Rectifier
The power grid is transforming and the increased usage of power electronics leads to non-linear power consumption demanding harmonic power flow analysis. Switched-mode power supplies are often used in this context since they massively increased efficiency and allow smaller form factors of devices. This paper provides a quasi-analytical solution with focus on the spectral analysis for evaluation of switched-mode power supplies as a model consisting of a full bridge rectifier with a parallel capacitor and an inverter represented as a resistor based on the assumption that the inverter behaves mostly ohmic in the pass-band of the full bridge rectifier. At first a quasi-analytic solution is provided, which allows to simulate the system considering the given assumptions for various component values. Afterwards an exemplary measurement is performed to show the practical behavior of the simulation.
