INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO THE FORMATION OF LINGUOCULTUROLOGICAL COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE ELECTIVE COURSE
The article considers the issue of an integrative approach to the formation of linguoculturological competence of students in the framework of the elective course. To solve the linguistic and cultural problems and the formation of the students linguistic personality in the process of teaching a foreign language, it was proposed to form the following necessary parameters of linguocultural competence: linguoculturological knowledge, skills, personal qualities of students. Elective courses allow us to talk about an integrative approach as a means of constructing individual educational programs and a mechanism for updating and individualizing the learning process and self-learning. The most important linguodidactic functions of elective courses: to act as a complement to the content of the profile course; to develop the content of one of the basic courses, the study of which is carried out at the minimum general educational level; satisfy the cognitive Functional aspects of intercultural communication. Translation and interpreting issues. Proceedings. 2019. Volume 6 180 interests of individual students who go beyond their chosen profile, taking into account their individual needs. In the methodological system of the elective course, it is fundamental to determine the results of its study, develop the final diagnostic tools and the availability of appropriate measuring tools on each didactic training cycle. Despite the diversity of topics and the development of cognitive interest, there is a tendency to turn elective courses into extra hours to prepare for exams. The reduction of elective courses to the solution of test tasks does not contribute to develop of logical thinking skills, to distinguish the main from the secondary, to find several answers to one question. On the contrary, there is a loss of those qualities for which they were introduced into the educational process (creativity, profile, motivation for an increased level of activity). In order for elective courses in a foreign language to become a developing and driving component of the educational process, it is necessary to implement the principles of a personality-oriented approach, the absolute value of which is the person himself. In the process of mastering elective courses, students get acquainted with the algorithms for the correct speech behavior in situations, including the everyday plan, the methods of their use.
