Applying Fuzzy VIKOR algorithm in load ranking for load shedding problem in Microgrid
This article proposes a method for ranking the loads in a microgrid based on a weighted combination of technical and economic criteria. The Fuzzy VIKOR algorithm is proposed to calculate this combined weight. The considered criteria are the Load Importance Factor (LIF), the voltage electrical distance (VED), and the Voltage Sensitivity Index (VSI). When ranking the loads based on these criteria, it is difficult to avoid conflicts between them. Therefore, VIKOR is used to solve this problem because it focuses on ranking and selecting from a set of alternative solutions when the criteria are in conflict. Additionally, it proposes a compromise solution between the criteria. The Fuzzy trapezoid is used to handle imprecise comparisons when comparing criteria. Fuzzy operations and ranking procedures for fuzzy numbers are used to develop the Fuzzy VIKOR algorithm. Therefore, Fuzzy VIKOR is based on the fuzzy composite value representing the distance of an alternative solution from the ideal solution. The microgrid system with 16 buses is used to test the load ranking using the Fuzzy VIKOR method.
