Computer Based Training (CBT) can help to meet these demands but until now development costs have been prohibitive. A possible way of producing lower cost CBTs for universities is for lecturers to develop it themselves. This would also ensure a close match between the content and the university syllabus. This paper describes a project in which ten multimedia CBT programs were developed by lecturers in the Technical University of Lisbon (IST).
