La Méditerranée orientale à la croisée des identités et des cultures

Abstract Shared between a boiling East and a West which calls up to the freedom and to the opening, Amin Maalouf tries to anchor his writing between these two worlds by aspiring to the reconciliation of the identities. He gathers under his speaking feather the protagonists who represent his own way to overtake the conflicts stemming from differences of language, religion and culture. Our objective would be to question his texts by trying to demonstrate the strategies which this Levantine author displays to establish the bridges of exchanges and dialogues in the edge of this third millennium. Résumé Partagé entre un Orient en ébullition et un Occident qui appelle à la liberté et à l'ouverture, Amin Maalouf s'efforce d‟ancrer son écriture entre ces deux mondes en aspirant au rapprochement des identités. Il rassemble sous sa plume des protagonistes qui représentent sa propre façon de dépasser les conflits issus des différences de langue, de religion et de culture. Notre objectif est d'interroger ses textes en tentant de démontrer les stratégies que cet auteur du Levant déploie en vue d'établir des passerelles d'échanges et de dialogues à l'orée de ce troisième millénaire.
