The Effect of Adiwiyata-Based Textbooks on Fifth Grade Elementary School Students In Implementing Environmental Care Behaviors
This study was conducted to determine the effect of Adiwiyata-based textbooks on fifth grade elementary school students in implementing environmental care behaviors. This type of research is experimental research, where this research is part of the textbook development phase conducted by researchers. This research was conducted in class V at two schools namely SDN 2 Sidomulyo and SDN 2 Ampel in Ampel sub-district, Boyolali district, Central Java. Class V SDN 2 Sidomulyo as an experimental class where in learning using adiwiyata-based books, while class V SDN 2 Ampel as a control class where learning uses textbooks that are commonly used by teachers in teaching in class. The results showed that the pretest and posttest results of the control class and the experimental class showed significant differences. The pretest average of the experimental class was 50.68 while the posttest average was 82.78. The average of the control class pretest was 51.21 while the posttest was 70.07. If the percentage of the experimental class increased by 63% while the control class only increased by 37%. From these results it can be concluded that this is based on the textbook influences the behavior of fifth grade elementary school students to care for the environment.
