The results of SNP and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) analyses were consistent, indicating that the patient and curry isolates originated from the same source. SNP analysis, a whole-genome-based genotyping method, is a promising alternative to traditional PFGE for investigating outbreaks.
