Correo electrónico: albertoconsuegra@yahoo.es。
The article analyzes the emergence and development of the cuban anti-fascist movement as one of the central repercussions that the Italian invasion of Ethiopia brought. From the review of documentary sources and periodical publications, it is demonstrated how fascist invasion of the african country was transformed for the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and progressive intellectuals into the fact-symbol of the capitalist exploitation that countries could exercise more powerful over the weakest, which allowed us to establish a close analogy with the situation that Cuba was facing with respect to the United States. At the same time that the revulsion against Fascism was consolidated by the various political and mass organizations, the promotion of north american anti-imperialism became part of the programmatic platform of the cuban anti-fascist movement, placing Fascism * Cubano.
