Abstract

Working in the mining industry is associated with a serious risk to the health of workers. For this reason, increasing the level of automation and security is a topical issue. The article proposes a project for the construction of a system for monitoring the atmosphere in an open pit mine using wireless technologies. The considered platform offers a universal, flexible and affordable device, allowing the collection and analysis of a large amount of data in real time. Experiments have been conducted with sensors of microelectromechanical type, which appear to be a good candidate to replace the more expensive electrochemical ones.
