Abstract
The authors present a solution to the problem of mixed-mode analog/digital simulation for full custom designs. By efficiently incorporating two specialized simulators-a circuit simulator and a switch-level simulator-in a single computing environment with a common user interface, they have succeeded in simulating full-custom circuits with tightly coupled feedback between the analog and digital portions. The proposed methodology can be applied to a mixed-mode simulation of a purely digital or purely analog circuit in which one portion requires a much higher order of accuracy than the other.<>
