The proposed algorithm is influenced by the mating behavior of Jackson’s Widowbird. Courtship rituals performed by male bird are used to develop the algorithm. The main objective of the proposed model is to obtain best possible solution of any given optimization problem. The algorithm is tested with a number of benchmark functions. To show the effectiveness of the algorithm, it is compared with other popular metaheuristic algorithms. Abstract
