Bifurcation Control of Single Phase PWM Semi-Converter Fed DC Series Motor Drive 单相PWM半变换器直流串联电机驱动的分岔控制

The occurrence of bifurcation due to nonlinear nature of a dc series motor makes its speed control always challenging. This study therefore proposes a novel method for controlling the bifurcation of nominal period one speed response in a single-phase PWM controlled semi-converter fed dc series motor drive when the system is subjected to variable load torque condition. The basic idea for avoiding bifurcation of period one speed response includes investigation for the attributes of a periodic signal that should be incorporated in feedback circuit of the motor drive. This external periodic signal is necessary for manipulating the state transition matrix that represents the nominal period one behavior of the system to make all Eigen values inside unit circle. The proposed method can operate the motor drive with desired period-1 speed response for the entire or maximum possible range of variation in load torque. Numerical simulations and experimental results on a 1 2 hp dc series motor confirm the proposed technique for avoiding the occurrence of bifurcation.

An Experimental Study to Investigate the Condition of Metal Oxide Surge Arrester under Polluted Environment 污染环境下金属氧化物避雷器性能的实验研究

In this paper an experimental study has been performed to assess the condition of MOA under dry and polluted environment based on internal leakage current information. Metal Oxide Surge Arrester (MOA) is important equipment in electrical power system as it protects other valuable equipment from electromagnetic transients. Therefore, internal leakage current or current flow through the volume of MOA has been recorded in this paper based on IEC 60507. For better understanding of the condition of MOA resistive component of leakage current has been extracted using improved phase shift current method. The change in nonlinear V-I characteristics of MOA with respect to exterior polluted layer is also investigated based on the resistive leakage current signal.

Reversible Color Image Watermarking Algorithm using Reverse Contrast Mapping 基于反向对比度映射的可逆彩色图像水印算法

A reversible digital color image (RGB) watermarking algorithm based upon reversible contrast mapping (RCM) is being discussed in this paper. RCM is a computationally efficient spatial technique that manipulates the pairs of pixels with easy integer mathematics. Unlike other methods such as difference expansion, histogram modification, prediction error expansion along with adaptive pairing etc. and their various modified versions which considers context of a pixel. Involving more pixels may lead to much computational complexity and time. This method doesn’t need a location map to be stored and saves space. At the embedding stage, the color image is divided into three color intensity planes and watermark information can be embedded into each of the three planes. At the decoding stage, obtain the watermark by collecting bits from three (RGB) components. Net amount of data that can be embedded into color image is increased as compared to grayscale images of same size. Hence proposed algorithm gives good embedding capacity(EC). The experimental results show the values of embedding capacity and two quality metrics PSNR & SSIM for various standard test images. The proposed scheme does not need any location map to embed and hence no need of data compression.

Tile-based N-variable Symmetric Logic Function Syntheses in Quantum-dot Cellular Automata 量子点元胞自动机中基于瓦片的n变量对称逻辑函数合成

Tile Nanostructures in Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) are proved to be a robust and reliable structure to fabricate the logic device. In this scientific attempt, we have focused on N-variable symmetric Logic function synthesis in Quantum-dot Cellular Automata with tile nanostructure. Coupled Majority-minority voter (CMmV) voter is applied to implement 2 –variable and 3 –variable logic syntheses in Quantum-dot Cellular Automata. The N-variable symmetric logic function is applicable to implement any logic circuit. Two and three variables Quantum-dot Cellular Automata symmetric logic functions are synthesized in this article. Hence any digital logic circuit can be implemented with proposed Coupled Majority-minority voter (CMmV).

The sensing performance of Pd sensitized WO3 thin film gas sensor has been studied towards hydrogen and methane gases with different concentrations (0.1%, 0.5%, 1%) at the optimum operating temperatures. The Pd surface sensitized Tungsten trioxide (WO3) thin film sensor has been prepared on SiO2/Si substrate by sol-gel deposition technique. The material properties of the thin film sensor have been analyzed by two different techniques (X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)). The Stability of Pd surface sensitized WO3 thin film hydrogen sensor have also been studied. Performance Survey of MANET Routing Protocols with TCP Congestion Control Algorithms 基于TCP拥塞控制算法的MANET路由协议性能研究

The application of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) in wireless mobile communication is evolving as an instinctive preference due to its ability to support high mobility, high scalability and very low administration or maintenance cost, which are the essential characteristics of advanced wireless mobile communications. The Quality of Service (QoS) or efficiency of the MANETs lies in the performance of the routing protocols used. In this paper, we have presented a survey on the performance of different routing protocols under Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) congestion control algorithms. Our objective is to study the performance of the routing protocols in absence or presence of the TCP congestion control algorithms from existing literature.

An Arduino Based Automatic Accident Detection and Location Communication System 基于Arduino的自动事故检测与定位通信系统

Vehicle accidents have become one of the major issues, which cause the death of many people around the globe. Presently India is in the top-ranked in death due to road accidents. This is a serious matter, which needs to be solved to save the life of many injured people due to accidents. To solve this problem many automobile companies have done different systems such as safety airbags, seat belts, camera sensors, etc. but still the cause and the effect of the accident cannot be reduced. One of the major solutions is to provide proper medical treatment to the victim on time. According to statistics whenever any kind of accident happens, the witness of the accident hesitates to help the victim due to the long procedure of reporting and inquiry to the police. Mostly the victim is not in a condition to ask for any sort of help from others in that situation. In such a situation, the life of the victim is in danger due to the lack of proper treatment and medical facility in time. To solve this problem there is an urgent requirement of a system that automatically detects the accident and based on that information it communicates about the accident and its location to the hospital and relative without any delay. In this work, an Arduino based Automatic Accident Detection and Location Communication System (AAADLCS) is developed that continuously tracks the location of the vehicle, when any kind of accident occurs. It automatically detects the accident and based on that information it sends that location to the hospital, relatives, and to the police quickly. The key benefit of this system is its low cost, easy to implement, easy to use, processing speed, high accuracy, and its self-reliance.

To solve this problem there is an urgent requirement of a system that automatically detects the accident and based on that information it communicates about the accident and its location to the hospital and relative without any delay. In this work, an Arduino based Automatic Accident Detection and Location Communication System (AAADLCS) is developed that continuously tracks the location of the vehicle, when any kind of accident occurs. It automatically detects the accident and based on that information it sends that location to the hospital, relatives, and to the police quickly. Medical Image Fusion using Local IFS-Entropy in NSST Domain by Stimulating PCNN 刺激PCNN的NSST域局部ifs -熵医学图像融合

This paper proposes a new multi-modal image fusion technique for medical application. It is based on the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (IFS) and operated on the Non-Subsampled Shearlet Transform domain. After decomposition of two input images, the fusion of low-frequency subbands (LFSs) are performed using max-selection rule. While fusing the high-frequency subbands (HFSs), IFS entropy is generated considering a local neighbor-hood region of the HFSs’ coefficients. These IFS entropies are used as stimulating input to a biologically inspired Pulse Coupled Neural Network. Depending upon the (higher) firing counts of the network, the HFSs are fused. Finally, to yield the fused image, inverse NSST is performed taking the fused coefficients as its input. Superiority of the present technique is evaluated through some numerical comparisons with already existing techniques in the multi-modal medical fusion domain.

Manhattan Distance based Nearest Vicinity Guided Filter Design for High Density Salt and Pepper Noise Removal 基于曼哈顿距离的高密度盐和胡椒噪声去除的最邻近引导滤波器设计

Elimination of highly densified salt and pepper noise from digital images is an exigent business in image processing domain. Numerous state-of-art filters have shown judicious outcomes at low and average noise concentrations. In this paper a nearest vicinity guided two-step impulse noise filter (NVGINF) is proposed. The detection phase segregates the un-corrupted pixels by neglecting the ‘0’ (pepper noise) and ‘255’ (salt noise) pixel intensities from the images. In the removal phase, the corrupted pixels are restored by substituting them with detected un-corrupted pixels located at least Manhattan distance, using equivalent mean-median measures. NVGINF is assessed upon three test images using Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index Measurement (SSIM) and Average Run Time (ART). It has been witnessed that the proposed NVGINF demonstrates viable outcome up against a number of contemporary filters specifically at high noise densities.

Taguchi-based Optimization of Process Parameters for Quality Weld of Tungsten Inert Gas Bead-on Plate Welding on Low Carbon Steel 基于田口法的低碳钢钨极惰性气体珠焊焊接工艺参数优化

It is of great significance to select appropriate welding process parameters and their limits for quality weld in any welding process. Optimization of any welding process variables is markedly difficult because welding is a multi-factors process, which is impacted by lots process unpredictability. In this study, a multi-response optimization process has been applied for Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) bead-on plate welding on low carbon steel. Taguchi’s method has been introduced for the designing of experiments with the intension of reducing the number of experimental runs. Three welding process parameters—current (I) from 130-190A, traverse speed(S) 0.30-0.75 m/min and gas flow rate (Gf) 12-18 lit./min with a constant voltage 25 V were considered in this analysis. The weld bead geometry viz. weld penetration, weld bead width or thickness and haz (heat affected zone) thickness were measured and also investigated the grain sizes and hardness of haz. The ANOVA (analysis of variance method) has been introduced to assess the significance of the parameters on overall quality of the weldment. It shows the workability of the Grey-based Taguchi method in manufacturing world for ongoing development in product quality. It has been noticed that the process variables were seriously impacted on weld bead as well as hardness and grains size of the haz.
