Method: The participants were children aged 4 to 5 years old, and for 8 times in February 2023, they read picture books with researchers and teachers. Results: The children explored the cover of the picturebook, guessed the title, and changed the words and pictures into terms they knew to understand the contents in detail. And after interpreting the picture book in connection with what they knew and experienced, they enjoyed the picture book and realized the meaning of Jeju culture and sustainable life practiced by haenyeo.
