The theoretical considerations contained in the article on the upbringing of a child in the family and preparation for school were obtained on the basis of a literature review on the subject. Empirical data from the research was obtained using the diagnostic survey method using a proprietary research tool with a four-point Likert scale, i.e. a survey addressed to parents of first-grade pupils attending several primary schools in the Biała Podlaska poviat (N = 91). The conducted research shows that in some children there were observed difficulties in establishing contacts, which can be assumed as a consequence of learning in a remote or hybrid form.
