An Architecture for Creating Universal Interpersonal Communication Applications (UICAs)

This paper11This publication has emanated from research conducted with the financial support of the Bulgarian National Science Fund (BNSF) under the Grant No. KP-06-IP-CHINA/I (K∏-06- HIT - KHT AN/1). describes a generic architecture for the creation of universal interpersonal communication applications (UICAs) capable of selecting the ‘best’ service for communication with particular person(s), depending on the current context, based on the calculated service ratings considering different evaluation criteria. A suitable service categorization, serving the UICAs, is proposed. The relevance of the UICA approach to a user-centric realization of the Always Best Connected and best Served (ABC&S) communication paradigm is highlighted.
