Generation of Tailored EMC Specifications

Abstract

This paper describes a computerized a n a lys is proc­ e ss (IEMCAP) which may be used to e s t a b l i s h and main­ ta in c o s t e f f e c t i v e in ter feren ce control throughout the l i f e cyc le o f systems composed o f communications and e le c t r o n ic s equipment. The program i s capable o f both generating system s p e c i f i c a t io n l im i t s and main­ ta in in g the in t e g r i t y o f the system s p e c i f i c a t io n with system m odif ica tion . The program u t i l i z e s MIL-STD-461A and MIL-I-6181D EMC s p e c i f i c a t io n s as a basis fo r de­ f in in g the overall system s p e c i f i c a t io n l i m i t s .
