Abstract
Migration, Multilingualism and Education: Critical Perspectives on Inclusion addresses the question of how linguistic diversity in multilingual educational settings can be harnessed in order to deliver equitable education for all. By incorporating studies from different parts of the world, levels of education and types of education, such as (in)formal education and continuous professional development (CPD), this volume effectively demonstrates that multilingual education for social integration cuts across national and educational contexts. As such, the volume makes a valuable contribution to the current literature. Of particular note is the addition of reflective vignettes written by education professionals, such as teachers, school inspectors or language pathologists, who illustrate how the ideas conveyed in the chapters translate into recognizable educational practices. Given its scope and foci, this book will be of interest to a range of educational professionals, particularly those involved in teacher education and school language policy.
