Penyuluhan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat di SD Negeri 1 Watampone
Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), around 100,000 children in Indonesia in 2016 died from diarrhea every year. It's not just diarrhea that can attack children; various other types of diseases can threaten health and even cause death. The incidence of various diseases more often attacks school-age children, namely 6–10 years old, and it turns out that they are generally related to unclean living behavior both at home and at school. School-age children are more susceptible to disease because they do not maintain personal hygiene, especially eating after playing, snacking carelessly, and dirty home and school environments, especially school canteens that are not clean. Seeing such conditions, it is necessary to be aware of all parties, including parents, students, teachers, school principals, and canteen staff, to maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment in order to avoid various diseases and be able to support the improvement of children's health. Therefore, through community service, it is necessary to increase the literacy of school-aged children by providing health education regarding the importance of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS). so that schoolchildren are able to apply it both at school and at home.
