Notwithstanding the limited scope of this review, it should be apparent that Brenneis and Herrmann’s volume has much to offer to historians of Spain and the Holocaust and literary scholars alike. The book is user-friendly, and students need not shy away from it, as chapters can be read in isolation. No doubt many of the contributions will provide valuable points of departure for further study for many years to come. The editors are to be highly commended for bringing a project of this size to fruition and persisting in their endeavour over a significant period in time, all in the scholarly interest of making accessible aspects of the Holocaust and Spanish history with which many are still unfamiliar.
