Abstract
This study used the structural equation modeling analysis to investigate the structural relationships between the motivational factors, engagement in sports, physical sensations, and quality of life among amateur badminton players in China. The study participants were from five regions in China: East, South, West, North, and Central. A total of 890 questionnaires were distributed, and after excluding erroneously answered questionnaires, 868 responses were used for the final analysis. Data processing was conducted using SPSS and AMOS software for reliability analysis, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. As a result, first, there was a significant correlation between participation motivation and exercise commitment. Second, there was a significant correlation between participation motivation and physical self-efficacy. Third, there was a significant correlation between participation motivation and quality of life. Fourth, there was a significant correlation between exercise commitment and physical self-efficacy. Fifth, there was a significant correlation between exercise commitment and quality of life. Sixth, there was a significant correlation between physical self-efficacy and quality of life. In conclusion, it was found that participants
