Abstract
The purpose of this study was to verify the goodness-of-fit of coaching competency measurement scale recognized by rower player. The 210(men=119; women=91) Korean rower players were surveyed. Winsteps 5.6.0 program was used and the significance level was set at 0.05. The results were as follows. First, the evidence based on the contents of the test, the coaching competency measurement scale recognized by rower players consisting of 4 factors, 17 questions, and 5-point response categories was determined. Second, 4-point response category more appropriate than 5-point response category. Third, there is no problem even if the 17 questions classified into 4 factors are integrated and analyzed as one factor. Fourth, as a result of the goodness-of-fit analysis of the items, one item (item 1) was inappropriate. Fifth, one item (item 2) was differential item functioning according to the group of presence or absence of prize. Therefore, the coaching competency measurement scale recognized by rower players was the 15 questions, 4-point response category without classifying factors.
