Abstract
We present the simulation of an individual spiking laser to be used as a photonic neuron for a spiking neural network scale-up. The neuron is a semiconductor laser optimized for pulsed operation through modification of the CEA Leti III-V on Si integrated continuous wave laser’s heterostructure.
