Research on Pseudo-Contour of Halftone Images Based on Multi-level Error Diffusion Algorithm 基于多级误差扩散算法的半色调图像伪轮廓研究

To research the distribution characteristics of pseudo-contour in Multi-level Error Diffusion(MED) halftone images,based on the analysis of generation mechanism of MED,three images which were partial bright,normal and dark separtely,were processed by multi-level error diffusion halftoning algorithm with different quantization threshold values. The compared results showed that pseudo-contour related with the gradual level distribution of the images and quantization threshold values.On this basis,a new method was put forward to modulate the quantization threshold values in midtones where pseudo-contour appeared obviously.The calculating results showed that it is effective to eliminate the pseudo-contour in multi-level error diffusion halftone images.
为了研究多层误差扩散半色调图像中伪轮廓的分布特征,在分析多层误差扩散半色调图像产生机理的基础上,采用不同量化阈值的多层误差扩散半色调算法分别对部分亮、正常和暗三幅图像进行处理。对比结果表明,伪轮廓线与图像的渐变水平分布和量化阈值相关。在此基础上,提出了一种调制伪轮廓明显的中色调量化阈值的新方法。计算结果表明,该方法可以有效地消除多级误差扩散半色调图像中的伪轮廓。
