A COMPARISON STUDY ON THE PROPAGATION CHARACTERISTICS OF FLATTENED GAUSSIAN BEAMS AND SUPER-GAUSSIAN BEAMS 平高斯光束与超高斯光束传播特性的比较研究

The propagation characteristics of the MultiGaussian beams (MGB) and SuperGaussian beams (SGB) have been studied and compared with each other, based on the Wigner distribution function and irradiance moments method. The characteristic parameters of MultiGaussian beams (MGB), such as the M2 factor and beam width, are derived analytically. Numerical examples have been given. The main result obtained in this paper is that two MGB and SGB with the same M2 factor present a similar transverse irradiance distribution at a position of the equal generalized Fresnel number despite the fact that the beam width and propagation distance may be different. 
基于Wigner分布函数和辐照矩法,研究了多高斯光束(MGB)和超高斯光束(SGB)的传播特性,并进行了比较。对多高斯光束(MGB)的特征参数——M 2因子和波束宽度进行了解析推导。给出了数值算例。本文得到的主要结果是:具有相同的M 2因子的两个MGB和SGB在相同的广义菲涅耳数位置上呈现出相似的横向辐照度分布,尽管光束宽度和传播距离可能不同。
