New Taxonomic and Faunistic Data on the Subfamily Euphorinae Förster, 1862 of Turkey (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) 土耳其小蜂亚科Förster, 1862的新分类和区系资料(膜翅目:小蜂科)

In this study, taxonomic and faunistic data on Euphorinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) subfamily which can be used as a biological control agent of plant pest insects (especially Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and Hemiptera) were given. In addition to the Turkish and worldwide distributional data of 33 species, and two genera namely, Neoneurus Haliday and Ecclitura Kokujev were given as new records from Turkey. Moreover, ten species [Leiophron (Peristenus) reclinator (Ruthe), Meteorus graciliventris Muesebeck, M. micropterus (Haliday), Elasmosoma calcaratum Tobias, Neoneurus auctus (Thomson), Ecclitura primoris Kokujev, P. (M.) apiophaga (Loan), P. (M.) moldavicus (Tobias), P. (M.) retusus Thomson, Streblocera (Streblocera) antennata Jakimavicius] which have not previously found in Turkey and those are new records for the Turkish fauna. Zoogeographical remarks and chorotype information for each taxon were given. By this contribution, the number of the Euphorinae species increased to 81 in Turkey.

Effects of Methidathion on Antioxidant Enzyme Activities and Malondialdehyde Level in Midgut Tissues of Lymantria dispar (Lepidoptera) larvae 甲硫磷对异舞毒蛾中肠组织抗氧化酶活性及丙二醛水平的影响

Lymantria dispar larvae are very hazardous to forests and they also cause allergic reactions in humans. In the present study, distinct concentrations of methidathion were applied to L. dispar larvae via oak leaves which were prepared by the dipping method. The data obtained was statistically appraised using probit analysis and a LC 50/48h value for L. dispar larvae found to be 25,480 ppm. Antioxidant defense components protect insects by scavenging reactive oxygen species, leading to oxidative stress. The present study was investigated the effects of LC 50/48h value of methidathion , on the oxidative stress indicator, malondialdehyde (MDA), and antioxidant enzymes [superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx)] activities in midgut tissues. There were statistically significant increases in the MDA level and SOD, CAT, GPx activities in the LC 50/48h concentration of methidathion-treated larvae compared to the control larvae. These results indicated that methidathion which is an organophosphate pesticide, causes an increase in oxidative stress and we infered that increased oxidative stress induces antioxidant defence mechanisms.

Ichneumonidae species diversity of three Natural Protection Areas (Halep Camligi, Kengerliduz, Habib-i Neccar) chosen from East Mediterranean Region of Turkey were investigated comparatively. The surveys were conducted between March-September 2007-2008 once a month intervals. In the study, 54 species were determined, of which 17 species were recorded for the first time in Turkish Ichneumonidae fauna. Zoogeographical notes were given for each species. Also, the hotspot distributions were added.

New faunistic and distributional data are presented on Chelonus Panzer, 1806 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Cheloninae) of Turkey. Thirteen Chelonus species were identified, and five of them are new records for the Turkish fauna: Chelonus (Chelonus) bimaculatus Szepligeti, 1896; C. (C.) capsa Tobias, 1972; C. (C.) lissogaster Tobias, 1972; C. (C.) submuticus Wesmael, 1835 and C. (C.) wesmaelii Curtis, 1837. Nevertheless the other eight species are new records for East Black Sea Region.

In this study Braconinae (Braconidae: Hymenoptera) fauna of East Black Sea Region was invastigated during the years 2004-2005. During the study period, 58 species were collected and identified. Bracon (Bracon) schmidti Kokujev, 1912, Bracon (Lucobracon) concavus Tobias, 1957, Bracon (Lucobracon) mirus Szepligeti, 1901 are the first records for the Turkey Braconinae fauna. All the discovered species are the first records for the East Black Sea Region. Distribution of all species were compared with published species distribution records from the Caucasus, Central Asia and Europe.

As a result of the samplings carried out at the Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 2005, Halocladius (Halocladius) varians was reported as a new species for Turkish fauna. Morphological characteristics of the species are described. Ecological notes on the habitat of the species are given.
