The consultation of regional inventories and studies on Nicole Oresme, as well as the direct inspection of the manuscript sources, enabled me to identify nineteen manuscripts transmitting the second redaction of Nicole Oresme’s Questions on Meteorology and one manuscript that contains a partial table of questions of this commentary.1 1) Basel, Universitätsbibliothek, lat. The redaction of Oresme’s Questions on Meteorology that is partially edited in this volume was until recently considered to be Oresme’s only commentary on Aristotle’sMeteorology.1 However, recent investigations have revealed the existence of two other commentaries on this Aristotelian text that should also be ascribed toOresme: a literal commentary (Sententia) and a question commentary (Questiones).2
