"New Normal, is a period of time in which economies grow very slowly as opposed to growing like weeds, the way children do; in which profits are relatively static; in which the government plays a significant role in terms of deficits and reregulation and control of the economy; in which the consumer stops shopping until he drops and begins, as they do in Japan (to be a little ghoulish), starts saving to the grave." - Bill Gross (Co-Founder of PIMCO)Paper will discuss existing on-going Global Economic Scenario from Excess Liquidity to Liquidity Crunch in turn leading to Tectonic shift in Global Growth from Developing Countries to Developed Countries which has resulted and there is no escape from "new normal" wherein China’s demand for resources is slowing down. Culminating in Era of VUCA which has period of High Volatility in both Commodity & Currency Markets which are flooded by NOMICS – terminology without any way-out. All of it influences Edible Oil & Oilseeds markets besides its own "Fundamentals", case under discussion Indian Market grappling with its own dynamics. In such a scenario how to Leverage upon Market Information to mitigate Price Risk especially in Edible oil & Oilseeds market (it can be applied to across commodity segments) and finally concluding with Price Risk Mitigation Strategies.Last but not the least, paper will conclude by revisiting price forecasts for 2016.
