Oczekiwania nauczycieli i rodziców wobec nauczyciela edukacji wczesnoszkolnej

This article focuses on the issue of parents’ and teachers’ expectations concerning the early childhood education (ECE) teacher, who plays an important role in the process of teaching, upbringing, and taking care of children in primary school grades 1–3. Consequently, parents’ and teachers’ expectations are high. This article is of a theoretical and empirical nature. The results of the findings indicate divergences in the teachers’ (43) and parents’ (54) opinions regarding the expected traits of the ECE teacher. Parents’ and teachers’ expectations differ and diverse traits of the ECE teacher are important to various respondents: parents value ECE teachers’ education and their friendly attitude to pupils, while ECE teachers emphasise decisiveness, consistency, and a good attitude towards their responsibilities.

Na styku animal studies i nauk o wychowaniu

The aim of the article is to define a common perspective in the area of animal studies and education sciences. The subject of human relations with other forms of life on our planet is an extremely valuable area for pedagogical reflection, where there is still insufficient content on the substantive and ethical level. This is because the natural world, including animals, is usually presented – within the anthropocentric perspective – as less significant, inferior, irrelevant, and primarily dependent on the meanings given to it by people. The search for a common interface between animal studies and pedagogy aims to emphasise the context of empathy, the category of community, and the issue of mutual interdependence. This crossroads takes the form of a specific ethical proposal, the basis of which is the assumption of the equality of all beings in the perspective of life. The article presents the most important concepts, definitions, solutions, and discussions that create the theoretical framework for both pedagogy and animal studies. In addition, the article shows the possibility of extending these two scientific disciplines to include issues related to posthumanism and interspecies humanitarianism.

(Nie)sprawiedliwe narzędzia – pisanie bluszczowe

The text presents an autoethnographic response to the results of a survey in which academics were asked about their sense of justice regarding the tools offered by universities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis of 118 responses and their justifications indicates that for 77% of them the tools proposed during the COVID-19 epidemic are fair and for 23% – unfair. In addition, respondents questioned the validity of the question of fairness with regard to digital tools. On the basis of autoethnography, the above result is a catalyst for reflecting on the author’s ideas about the research topic and the relationship of people with artificial intelligence (AI). As a result of the conducted analysis, it is postulated that the dichotomy “fair/unfair” be used in relation to digital tools used in education.

The aim of the text is to reflect on the participation of research clubs in the life of a university, with particular emphasis on cooperation with the local community and inter-institutional cooperation at various levels. The article is a review, signaling the issues that should be explored in more detail. The university’s mission is discussed and the role of research clubs is emphasized. They constitute an important space for development, not only for students, but also for the university itself and for the local community.

Doświadczenia emancypacyjne nauczycielek wiejskich w perspektywie filozofii egzystencjalnej Simone de Beauvoir

In this article I present the results of research whose aim was to explore the emancipatory experiences of female teachers working in rural primary schools in order to analyse, interpret, and explain the sources of oppression and the ways of overcoming or weakening it and in effect supporting this professional group in achieving autonomy in particular dimensions of their existence. The theoretical perspective of the conducted research was primarily based on the existential theses of Simone de Beauvoir contained in her treatise ‘The Second Sex’ and ‘The Ethics of Ambiguity’, as well as in her novels, essays, and memoirs. The research, carried out using Fritz Schütze’s narrative interview method, showed that the female participants react ambiguously to the oppression experienced in the economic, socio-cultural, historical, and personal fields: they accept oppression in certain areas, while in others they fight to achieve new rights and fields of freedom, contributing to their subjective liberation and emancipation through the education of male and female students.

Mechanizm systematyzujący i hipersystematyzujący osób z autystycznego spektrum w teorii wynalazczości „jeżeli-i-to” Simona Barona-Cohena – konteksty edukacyjne

The article is based on the latest theory of human inventiveness by Simon Baron- -Cohen (2021). The author is convinced that people on the autism spectrum have specialized minds that systematize. He calls them “born pattern seekers”. They create the foundations of human civilization, demonstrating a “love of logic” (Baron-Cohen, 2021, p. 15). The precision and tendency to classify demonstrated by such people results from the need to understand the surrounding reality in the process of different preferences for learning. The researcher reformulated the understanding of the autism spectrum in social sciences and humanities, embedding it in the concept of neurodiversity. Simon Baron-Cohen initiated a debate on changing the way of thinking about autism – a transition from the medical-diagnostic understanding of autism as a disorder or disability to understanding it as a specialized uniqueness in the way of interpreting reality, noticeable in people on the autism spectrum.
