This study aimed at presenting how language materialize, as a ritual that fails, in the context text-letter produced by people in a segregating situation. Michel Pecheux’s, Eni Orlandi’s and other authors’ theoretical concepts lead the reflection on this writing directed by legislation that impedes, but that also authorizes the State to set its panoptic look on these subjects, who, being prisoners, have the ‘right’ to keep their social bond to the society outside. The evidence of a transparent language and literal sense vanish facing the completeness illusion that the State produces on the way that this subject can and must write their letters, respecting the legislation surrounding them. However, failures permeate this writing ritual and the desire of ‘escaping’ produce other meanings at a place that attempts to control the moves of these violence agents that materialize in the desire of transposing the gates and meet their dreams of freedom, by mail.

New periodic variable stars coincident with ROSAT sources discovered using SuperWASP 新的周期变星与使用超级黄蜂发现的ROSAT源一致

We present optical lightcurves of 428 periodic variable stars coincident with ROSAT X-ray sources, detected using the first run of the SuperWASP photometric survey. Only 68 of these were previously recognised as periodic variables. A further 30 of these objects are previously known pre-main sequence stars, for which we detect a modulation period for the first time. Amongst the newly identified periodic variables, many appear to be close eclipsing binaries, their X-ray emission is presumably the result of RS CVn type behaviour. Others are probably BY Dra stars, pre-main sequence stars and other rapid rotators displaying enhanced coronal activity. A number of previously catalogued pulsating variables (RR Lyr stars and Cepheids) coincident with X-ray sources are also seen, but we show that these are likely to be misclassifications. We identify four objects which are probable low mass eclipsing binary stars, based on their very red colour and light curve morphology.

Discovery of very high energy γ-ray emission from the BL Lacertae object H 2356-309 with the HESS Cherenkov telescopes 用HESS Cherenkov望远镜发现了BL Lacertae天体H 2356-309的高能γ射线发射

The extreme synchrotron BL Lac object H 2356−309, located at a redshift of z = 0.165, was observed from June to December 2004 with a total exposure of ≈40 h live-time with the HESS (High Energy Stereoscopic System) array of atmospheric-Cherenkov telescopes (ACTs). Analysis of this data set yields, for the first time, a strong excess of 453 γ-rays (10 standard deviations above background) from H 2356−309, corresponding to an observed integral flux above 200 GeV of I(>200 GeV) = (4.1 ± 0.5) × 10 −12 cm −2 s −1 (statistical error only). The differential energy spectrum of the source between 200 GeV and 1.3 TeV is well-described by a power law with a normalisation (at 1 TeV) of N0 = (3.00 ± 0.80stat ± 0.31sys) × 10 −13 cm −2 s −1 TeV −1 and a photon index of Γ= 3.09 ± 0.24stat ± 0.10sys. H 2356−309 is one of the most distant BL Lac objects detected at very-high-energy γ-rays so far. Results from simultaneous observations from ROTSE-III (optical), RXTE (X-rays) and NRT (radio) are also included and used together with the HESS data to constrain a single-zone homogeneous synchrotron self-Compton (SSC) model. This model provides an adequate fit to the HESS data when using a reasonable set of model parameters.
