Aim of the work : To investigate the frequency of fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) in a group of physically active university students and to assess their quality of life. Methods : Fibromyalgia Survey Questionnaire, based on the 2010 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) fibromyalgia classification criteria for FMS, was used to determine the frequency of FMS using an online survey. All affected students were further examined by a rheumatologist to verify the diagnosis of FMS. Pain severity and impact were assessed using the chronic pain grade questionnaire. Quality of life was assessed using the World Health Organization (WHO) brief Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL) (Arabic version). Results : The current study included 425 students; 194 females (45.6%) and 231 males (54.4%). 50 participants (11.8%) fulfilled the 2010 ACR criteria for FMS: 60% (n=30) females and 40% (n=20) males (F: M 1.5:1). The percentage of FMS in the female participants was 15.5% and 8.7% in male. 164 (38.6%) students had previous knowledge about FMS. There was a significant difference between FMS affected and the unaffected group as regards female sex, longer duration of traveling, and computer use with no difference as regards previous Covid-19 diagnosis. There was a significant difference (p<0.0001) between those with and without FMS in all pain items including rate and intensity over the past 6 months and also the interference with the daily, recreational, social, and family activities, in addition to the ability to work. There was a significant difference between FMS affected and the unaffected groups as regards to all domains of quality of life. When the Linear Regression model was done for the quality of life among participants, FMS was associated with low quality of life. Conclusion : Fibromyalgia is highly frequent even in physically active university students; it has a strong negative impact on all aspects of the quality of life that necessitate special medical and rehabilitation programs with social and psychological support.

The study examines the school reality of physical education in th e Omani context, with a particular focus on the following issues: (a) Environmental conditions – geography (terrain, climate, urban/rural), safety. (b) Pupils and teachers – class numbers, dress, interactions, teaching and learning methods. (c) The effectiveness of teacher training Programme for Physical Education. A semi-structured observation schedule was designed and applied in ( 27 ) schools in 3 different regions in Oman with two purposes in mind: as a reporting tool to capture the reality of the physical education lesson in Omani schools, and to bring some consistency to data collection from observations regarding the effectiveness of the teacher preparations in equipping teachers. Findings indicated that the reality of subject provision in schools presented huge challenges that were not addressed in training and a wide spectrum of situational differences. These differences were related to the lack of facilities and equipment (there were few indoor spaces in a country with hostile terrain and climate), issues concerning subject status, clashes with traditional cultural preferences that constrain opportunities. Evidence from observations highlighted the gaps in communication between Ministry of Education and SQU policy and expected practice.

Sports gain a lot of attention all over the world for being a sociocivilizational phenomenon that shows the development, progress and values in societies, it considered one of the most important supports comprehensive development in it, although the economic systems at the past looked at the sports from a limited angle as a process of entertainment and filling of empty time and relief but in the modern era that looked changed out of its simple traditional method into a new and inclusive concept, as we look at the sport now as a self-contained science that it based on a lot of an important factors which give it the cultural, entertaining, healthy and professional character at the same time, so it become necessary that the civilized societies to develop and enhance all kinds of sports and using it in servicing the human development to make it one of the tools that helps in raising the individuals qualifications and developing to invest in this industry as investing in human is more important than investing in stone.

This study aims to identify the Chronological analysis of race walk stages “Tokyo 2020” as an indicator for endurance training , the researchers used the descriptive method- Chronological analysis, the research sample consisted of athletes participating Tokyo 2020 in 20km race walking , the researcher used SPSS version 28 in processing data and in statistical analysis , the researcher reached prediction ratio of digital records depends on race stages also they reached the speed ratio approach in 20km and 50km race walking . The researcher has found that the players used multiple strategies during the race stages based on long-term endurance training, whether in 20 km and these methods and strategies helped the players to avoid early fatigues and finish the race well. The researcher recommends the use of long endurance training, high intensity interval training, and fartlek training for joggers during training units and increasing the volume of endurance training. Unlike interval training , Fartleks are more unstructured. Work-rest intervals can be based on how the body feels. With fartlek training, you can experiment with pace and endurance, and experience changes of pace.

: The research aims to identify the effect of using motor stories on improving some basic motor skills for children from the age of (6: 7 years) , The researcher used the experimental method, The research sample was (60 children), whose age ranged from 6-7 years, and it was divided randomly into an exploratory sample of (20 children) to conduct scientific procedures from outside the research sample, and (40 children) a basic sample divided into two equal groups of each of them (20) children at Al-Qadisiyah Primary School in Makkah Al-Mukarramah , The average age was 6.500 ± 0.506, the average height was 116.475 ± 1.935, the average weight was 22.675 ± 2.645, the average intelligence was 99.025 ± 5.122 , The researcher applied the proposed educational program to the experimental group at the same time that the traditional program was applied to the control group, noting that the program time for the control group is equal to the time of the program for the experimental group. The research experiment was implemented for both groups during the period from Monday, 23/8/2021 , Until Monday, 9/27/2021 , with two educational units per week, with a time of (45 minutes) per educational unit and for a period of (6 weeks), Results , The use of the motor story for primary school students in the experimental group under study led to the development of basic motor skills (running - jumping throwing) , The use of the control group to teach in the traditional way under study led to the development of some basic motor skills of the students, which are (running - throwing) , The use of the motor story of the primary school students in the experimental group under study led to the development of basic motor skills (running - jumping - throwing) better than the control group that used the traditional method.
