The purpose of this research is to know more deeply about: (a) the technique of preservation of library materials used at the Library of Sriwijaya University, (b) to know the process of library material preservation at library of Sriwijaya University, (c) to know the cause of material damage, (d) to know the obstacles faced in the implementation of library material preservation at the Library of Sriwijaya University. The methods used in this research are descriptive approach, observation and interview. The conclusion of this research is the technique used in library material conservation is using binding technique with perfect binding method and book covering. The process of library material preservation starts from the selection of damaged books by the selving officer of 30 copies. Then just done preservation or improvement within 2-3 days.

Information technology is more advanced and the community that all make easy to make the library should follow these developments. This research aims to designing of spatial design library as learning resources centers in boarding Riyadul Falah.The scope of this research is on optimal spatial aspects is aspect of functional, aspect of psychological, aspect of aesthetics, and aspect of security materials library. The research method used was action research. Technique data collection done by observation, interview, and study of the library. While the data collection techniques to determine the response of users using questionnaires.The research results showed that design of library as learning resources centers already appropriate With needs and expectation of the Islamic boarding schools. Conventional libraries are libraries that store and manage information inside a building.So the concept of conventional library is synonymous with the use of a place or building large enough.Along with the development of technology and see so many printed collections stored in the library then the concept of digital libraries present as one of the concepts used to minimize the weaknesses in the conventional library.For the application of digital libraries there are several things to note that is the provision of software, hardware and brainware. The amount of information often makes us confused to choose information. We cannot judge whether this is the right information or not. On this basis the existence of an Information Professional (IP) in an institution is important. This study aims to provide an overview of the IP and what they can do in the field of library science, information and archives. In this article the authors review some literature related to the implementation of IP, institutions engaged in IP services and institutions that provide IP training. This study explains that: 1. IP jobs can come from a variety of educational backgrounds, such as IT, archives, libraries or information. 2. There are now specialized agencies that provide training for someone who wants to become an IP professional such as "Special Libraries Association and AIIM The Global Community of Information Professional". 3. Although in Indonesia there is no specific institution of IP service providers, but some institutions have provided forms of IP services, such as Kompas Newspaper Information Center providing information services, National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia and consulting services, Tata Solusi that provide archiving management services. 4. Some libraries in other countries such as Singapore Management University and Nanyang Technology University, started to provide IP services such as consulting facilities and research activities assistance.

Examined by Merton's social strain theory, academic plagiarism is a deviant act in which intellectuals are unable to fill norms and can not pursue the path of conformity. The deviance by these intellectuals threaten academic integrity. Librarians as part of the educational process need to look at this issue with a critical perspective: First, building self-awareness as an antiplagiarism agent. Second, integrating sense of plagiarism into the user's education syllabus. Third, becoming partner of teaching staff in antiplagiarism education.

This article is titled "Preservation of Ancient Manuscripts as an Effort to Preserve Nation Culture". This research is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this paper is to combine the concept of ancient manuscripts and conservation efforts. More specifically, this paper will describe the concept of the problems and forms of preservation that can be done. Data collected during the study were analyzed using literature study method. The results of the analysis show that preservation of ancient manuscripts is considered very important as an effort to preserve the nation's culture. The preservation effort of the manuscript has two aspects, namely the preservation of the physical text which is consists of conservation and restoration activities. And the preservation of the text The first aspect consists of consists of digitalization activities, cataloging, philology research and codexology.

Today the library is a dynamic organization, going inside to fulfill the dynamism of this matter which is crucial thing that is element of leadership. Nowadays it has been discovered that different types of leadership can be the successor to which a leader can apply that type, so that when that type of leadership becomes the leader's principle, it will create a certain symbolism. There is a charismatic type of other types of leadership, the transformational leadership style. This leadership style is based on the follower's satisfaction in addition to the goal achievement orientation, so this style is more supportive of the followers (librarians) to reach their orientation. Therefore, this research as a search for the symbolism that appears in its implications for self-autonomy librarians. Analysis used in this research, that is by using literature study. Researchers reviewed the literature with the primary literature is the literature of Bass & Riggio entitled "Transformational Leadership" .

Communication is one important element in ensuring the success of an activity in the library. One type of communication that must be owned by everyone, especially librarians is persuasive communication. This communication is meant to influence people's choices. It is not only applied in the library but also implemented outside the library that is in the community environment. By conducting persuasive communication within the library, librarians are able to persuade or invite users to find solutions to their problems by utilizing library services. Meanwhile, in the midst of society, they must be able to influence the surrounding community to use the right information to solve the problems faced in their life.

Senayan Library Management System or SLiMS is one of Free Open Source Softwares (FOSS) based web and used to build automation system in the library. Various service activities in the library can be implemented by using SLiMS. Library of Adab and Humaniora Faculty of UIN Alauddin, Makassar makes effort to implement the library automation system. This research wishes knowing more the automation system implementation, what service activities which have implemented and haven`t yet in automation system implementation, and the obstacles faced by Library of Adab and Humaniora Faculty of UIN Alauddin in automation system implementation.
