Picking is the process through which a single entity or a list of entities is selected from a scene. The subject of picking is both a rendering and a collision detection problem, with the majority of research being on optimizing the ray-scene intersection problem. Several algorithms that solve the picking problem exist in the context of rasterization, but all of them lack several of the features of our proposed solution while, with one exception, all being much more expensive in terms of computational time. We propose a novel single frame method which is able to correctly select not only primitives but also any type of objects that may appear on the screen at a fragment level including hardware instanced, alpha culled, hardware tessellated, hardware animated and particle systems. The proposed technique has optimal memory requirements and offers the opportunity to pick at micro polygon level and is not limited to the first contact, offering the full intersection list per ray if required to do so. The proposed technique offers further unique opportunities such as flexible fuzzy object selection and is the only technique that selects without disregarding opacity accumulation from transparent objects.

Emerging Phenomenon Associated with a Symmetry Breaking in the Case of a Structural Inflation Model 在结构暴胀模型中与对称性破缺相关的新现象

The paper builds a general dynamic intersectoral model with structural characteristics and tests the change in the behavior of inflation in the presence of a symmetry breaking. Two hypotheses are tested relating the symmetry groups of the model described by the geometric transformations that leave unchanged the offer variation graph with the symmetry group of the price variation graph. The results suggest that a change in the pattern of inflation is associated with the change in the symmetry groups.

Cloud Provider's Services Evaluation Using Triangular Fuzzy Numbers 使用三角模糊数的云提供商服务评估
Pub Date : 1900-01-01 DOI: 10.1109/CSCS.2017.23
C. Rădulescu
Evaluating the available Cloud providers' (CPs) services with respect to multiple, usually conflicting criteria is a complex problem due to the existence of many CPs in the market and to the presence of uncertainty involved in the decision making process. As a solution to the above problem, this paper proposed a fuzzy group decision making multi attribute method based on a combination of fuzzy Simple Additive Weight (SAW) method and maximizing set and minimizing set defuzzification method. The defuzzification method is applied for CPs services ranking. The method is based on triangular fuzzy numbers and aims to aid decision makers (DMs) to evaluate and then rank CPs services. We illustrated the applicability of the fuzzy group decision making multi attribute method using a case study.

Engineered Devices to Support Stroke Rehabilitation 支持中风康复的工程设备
Pub Date : 1900-01-01 DOI: 10.1109/CSCS.2013.44
M. Poboroniuc, D. Irimia, N. Popescu, D. Popescu
Hemiparesis is a frequent outcome of brain damage (e.g., after stroke). There is a diversity of rehabilitation systems which have been designed for restoring the upper or lower limb functions in individuals with disabilities resulting from spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke and muscle dystrophy. These systems are based either on functional electrical stimulation (FES) or rehabilitation robots and haptic interfaces. This paper presents some of these rehabilitation systems which have been designed by our research team, as well as new trends in using brain-computer interfaces in stroke patient's rehabilitation.
