Abstract The theatrical text is one of those expressive forms that imposed an effective presence in revealing relationships within societies as well as searching for information and influential and dominant ideas. The theatrical text has the ability to epitomize and address dramatically philosophical ideas and propositions that affect the writer and enhance his interaction with his society and his society’s awareness of that interaction. This study presents the role of the theatrical text by revealing the concept of nothingness and documenting it across the ages. It also deals with the intellectual and dramatic treatments and productions in Iraq from the positions adopted by the contemporary Iraqi theatrical text. The importance of the research is evidenced by the fact that it sheds light on intellectual and dramatic treatments of the concept of nothingness in the text of contemporary Iraqi theater with a complete study of its artistic aspects. The study leads to the conclusion that the concept of nothingness is a dormant concept in human thought that surfaces when human thought invokes it by the influence of reality. Abstract The study aims to reveal the multiplicity and diversity of the collage style of the artist Muhanna Al-Durrah. This research deals with the artworks of the artist Al-Durrah that were implemented with collage technology. It also tries to answer a set of questions, the most important of which are: How did the art of collage play a role in shaping the artist Muhanna Al-Dorrah's experience in terms of subject and technique? What are the stylistic transformations of collage art that Muhanna Al-Durrah leaned on through his artistic experience? What are the visual and philosophical references to the art of collage of the artist Muhanna Al-Durrah? Based on the theoretical framework of the concept of collage in terms of subject and technique, and on analyzing artworks by following the descriptive analytical method, the research concluded with a set of results. The most important of these results are: 1. The art of collage achieved a role in formulating the stylistic transformations for the artist Muhanna Al-Durrah in terms of subject and technique. 2. Visual references have had an impact on the formulation of the recycling mechanisms for the distinctive mark in Al-Durrah's artwork. Abstract Adaptive reuse of heritage buildings is one of the heritage conservation processes. Heritage conservation is one approach to preserve heritage buildings to enhance their use and highlight their importance, authenticity and historic significance, which leads to urban development. The aim of this paper is to highlight one of the adaptive reuse attempts of a heritage building in Jabal Al- Wiebdeh in Amman, which is considered a heritage area since it has many heritage buildings and represents the architectural identity of Amman. The paper attempts to achieve its aim through deep analysis of the architectural elements of the building under consideration, involving the approach used formerly to transform the building and the contemporary interventions that were added and their impact on architectural, social, economic, and urban development. The methodology used in the paper was based on a field survey of the building. Abstract The aim of this study is to reveal the semantic interaction and aesthetic construction in the visual image in the comics of the "Saudi Caricature" by investigating the image semiotics and the effectiveness of rhetorical discourse in these comics. The researchers used a descriptive approach. This study takes two directions. The first is concerned with the semiotic importance of the visual image in storyboards and the iconic and symbolic representation in its composition. The other direction deals with the effectiveness of rhetorical discourse in the visual image of comics of "cartoon art", whose content tends to embody social phenomena, on contemporary Saudi society. Through analysis of theses caricature comic images, the results of the study showed their great impact on the current events in Saudi society. The results of the study also revealed that those drawings also bear many signs that symbolize the contents of Saudi life in various social, political, economic and cultural aspects. Abstract Heritage reflects the culture of society, which include customs, knowledge, and skills. Among the skills reflected by heritage is the art of hand embroidery used to decorate and treat clothing items. One of the hand embroidery stitches that were popular in the western region in Saudi Arabia is the faggoting stitches used to connect two pieces of fabric. This study focuses on the disappearance of faggoting stitches because of recent developments in the field of technology. It aims at reviving the faggoting stitches in a manner appropriate to the modern era through the use of automated embroidery stitches that simulate manual faggoting stitches in making designs that suit the different physiques. This research used the historical approach and the applied descriptive approach. The importance of this research lies in the attempt to preserve the cultural heritage by reviving faggoting stitches through the use of the automated embroidery of faggoting stitches that resemble handfaggoting styles in clothes, which suit different body types. The study assumes the possibility of utilizing the different techniques in the automated faggoting to inspire and revive the traditional hand stitches style in fashion. In Addition, the study assumes the possibility of replacing the hand faggoting stitches with the new techniques of automated stitches in producing contemporary designs that fit different physiques. A questionnaire was designed to explore and assess the highlights of the topic and elements of the research and verify its goals. One of the most prominent findings of the research is the success of automated embroidery techniques in inspiring and reviving the tradition of manual linking stitches in fashion design. It was also found that the automated embroidery techniques contributed to creating new designs consistent with different body shapes. In conclusion, the study provides more room for creativity and innovation in the field of fashion designs based on traditional embroidery stitches. The research recommends intensifying and documenting historical studies in traditional hand stitches in the regions of the Kingdom and developing modern methods in reviving traditional hand stitches in line with the era of speed and modern developments in fashion design. Abstract This research aims to identify the tendencies towards fashion decoration among a sample of female subjects and the types of decoration methods used in the fashion. It also attempts to measure the impact of fashion on raising the aesthetic value of the costume. The study followed an analytical descriptive approach and used a questionnaire to identify women's tendencies towards fashion and decoration. The research sample included 325 women living in Saudi Arabia. The main findings of the research were: 1. Identifying the decorative styles and methods used in the decoration of outfits 2. discovering a correlation between age and the tendency towards decoration: The results of the research showed that the older a woman is, the more likely she would be to show a tendency towards outfit decoration and vice versa. Statistically, no correlation was found between the education level and age, and the tendency toward decoration and decorative methods, nor between age and decorative styles. Finally, the study recommends supporting designers in designing decorations based on the society’s needs and interests. It also recommends that the Ministry of Commerce lend support to creating and developing projects of fashion industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using modern technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . Abstract Our current research studies the technique of narrative frequency in the structure of the narrative film, as one of the most controversial narrative techniques in the narrative systems in general and the cinematic film in particular. Section I of this paper presents the research problem, which is centered around the question: What are the narrative, semantic, and aesthetic dimensions of employing the technique of narrative frequency in the structure of the narrative film? The second section covers two topics. In the first topic, entitled "Narrative Frequency: The Term and the Concept", the researchers addressed the concept of narrative frequency and its manifestations in the narrative medium. In his encyclopedic and comprehensive study of the narrative theory, the critic and theorist (Gerard Gent) made an attempt to develop an integrated concept of the narrative frequency in all systems of narration, including cinematic discourse as one of the highly complex story systems due to the nature of the narrative medium and its ever-renewable potential. The second topic entitled "The Structure of Narrative Frequency in the Film Tale", deals with the nature of the relationship between the narrative frequency and the controlling point of view. Here, the concept of frequency is related to another, more complicated issue, namely the changing of the angle or perspective from which the events are viewed. So this topic will be a cinematic subject dealing specifically with the narrative frequency in the narrative film and its forms through the film examples. The most prominent result reached was that the narrative frequency is related to the ideological viewpoints of the characters, who see the facts from their point of view.
