This article considers specifics of the role of church and religious organization in life of modern Russian society. It marks the most challenging theoretical and methodological problems faced by the national sociology of religion. Particularly, special attention is paid to the question of theoretical and practical conceptualisation of two structural discipline’s conceptions – religiousness and churchism. Analysis of this problem provides an overview of empirical data on topical and controversial events for multi-religious Russian society like tolerance, liberality, violation of Believers’ feelings.

The article is devoted to the theoretical analysis of the socio-political bases of development of confessionaly focused education practice in post-Soviet Russia. The specifics of the corresponding educational innovation in its comparison with secular theological and confessional education are revealed. The author proves the consistency of prior development of confessionaly (orthodox) focused approach to an educational reflection on religion with a positional correlation of three main strategic subjects of Russian education: states, Russian Orthodox Church and public.

The problem of religiosity influence on party construction in modern Russia is analyzed within three periods proposed by the author: 1. the nineties of the twentieth century - the period without restrictions on the use of religion; 2. The first decade of the twenty first century – the period of sufficiently strong principles of state secularism; 3. 2012 – present – the period of “primitive secularism” overcoming. Conclusions and generalizations are made within a broad empirical material, including the study of party’s public declaration. The basic trends and features of the religiosity influence on party construction have been determined. It has been analyzed in relation to religion and believers of the leading political parties. Particular attention is paid to political parties that have been using religious ideas in their programs and within party’s ideology construction.

This article will present some historical cases, some ancient, some very recent of how the processes of globalization, resulting in the endless subconscious movement of the people, put on the agenda not only the issues of ethnic and religious identification of a particular ethnic group, but also the impact of waves of migration on the existing local societies. For many countries, this was not just a test of strength, but also on survival, to retain their original start. Therefore, it is important to understand the role of religion in the modern world. The question is what the “substance” of this process is, how to understand the religious consciousness and how to manage it.
