COVID-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The World Health Organization declared it a global pandemic on March 11, 2020. In the General Hospital of Macas, 24 patients of Shuar ethnicity were admitted to the ICU service, 14 of whom died. Eastern Ecuador is home to indigenous Shuar communities where their beliefs, culture, socio-demographic and economic situation could hinder early diagnosis and spread of the virus. Objective: To determine the demographic and clinical characteristics of patients infected with COVID-19 in the ICU of the General Hospital of Macas. Methodology: Quantitative research with a population of 110 people (N=110) admitted to the ICU of the General Hospital of Macas. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling was carried out according to hospital admissions, which consisted of young people, adults and older adults diagnosed with SAARS COVID-19 at admission to the service. The patients’ medical records and databases were reviewed. The information was reviewed, analyzed, transcribed into Word, INFOSTAT software was used, and Microsoft Excel software was used to generate tables and graphs. © 2021, Venezuelan Society of Pharmacology and Clinical and Therapeutic Pharmacology.

Background: In cases with moderate to extreme respiratory system disorders, Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) or SRAS-CoV-2 (Serious Coronavirus Acute Respiratory Syndromes 2) have also been involved. The aim of this research. The association between different hematologic parameters and the severity of COVID19. Experiment: A total of 184 patients with COVID-9 who were admitted to specialized kerbala Hospital for Internal in the kerbala province during the period from October 2020 till February 2021 Clinical and laboratory data of the patients were collected from medical records. Results Among them, 42 (22.8%), 88 (47.8%) patients were in the mild/moderate group, and 54 (29.3%) were in the severe/life-threatening group. the results of present study showed significant differences among blood parameters (urea, creatinine, ferittine and spo2).in different stage (mild, moderate and severe) of COVID 19 infection. CONCLUSION: The high prevalence of renal insufficiency in COVID-19 patients was observed in our research. The findings showed an important association between indices of renal function and distortions in various laboratory markers.

The mortality rate estimated by the WHO worldwide for CO-VID-19 has been 5.7%, much higher than other communicable infectious diseases, so it is essential to apply a vaccine to the population to reduce the viral spread, according to the WHO there are 23 projects in clinical phase stage III, such as vaccines: ChadOx1, nCov-19, Gam-COVID-Vac, CoronaVac that show promising results in research published by The Lancet Infection Diseases journal, for which we consider correlating the three vaccines and determining which is safer, generates greater im-munogenicity and less reactogenicity in volunteer participants, for which we conducted a review bibliography and a meta-anal-ysis of high impact scientific articles, concluding that the three vaccines generate a rapid and intense immune response against SARS-CoV-2, neutralizing antibodies had elevated titers in participants at 28 days, who increased and remained stable with a second dose, although each of them have been tested in different numbers and populations, applying recombinant adenovi-ral vectors and chemically inactivated virions with adjuvant and placebo for which they are totally different but with the same purpose to generate memory antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.
