This chapter conceptualizes resilience as the ability to bounce back from crises and modify goals and behaviors to cope with changes in the environment. Resilience in the workplace is a multifaceted construct that can often be studied as either a specific, situational process or a long lasting stable personality trait. Given this, this study will first focus on a relevant domain-specific resilience factor (i.e. computer self efficacy), followed by two crucial personality traits (i.e. dispositional optimism and self-esteem) to explain the role of resilience in predicting technostress.
