Quality-of-Service (QoS) is widely employed for describing non-functional characteristics of Web services. Web Service selection and evolution is receiving huge interest in the service oriented architecture community due to dynamic and volatile web service environment. The automatic selection and composition of Web services rely strongly on the manner to deal with ambiguity inherent to the description of functionalities of these services and the client's requests. Quality of Service (QoS) criteria become crucial in Web services selection and the problem of checking that a web service satisfies a given level of QOS is considered in recent research works. This paper presents a QoS based automatic classification method of web services. These services give generally similar functionalities and are offered by different providers. The main feature of our Web service selection model is to take advantage of the neuro-fuzzy logic for coping with the imprecision of QoS constraints values.

This paper propose a based CASIT [5] audio retrieval model. CASIT method is developed for our text information retrieval system witch gives good results. We have extended the CASIT method to the video and audio applications. In this paper we present its application in the audio content-based retrieval. The adapted method is called CASIA (in French: CAlcul de la SImilarité Audio). CASIA identify subsequence of audio using basic audio descriptors. Each audio document is pre-processed before the extraction of a set of basic audio descriptors, which characterize the temporal and the spectral information. Therefore an audio signal is represented by a characteristic sequence called in this paper "sequence fingerprint".

Context-aware development has been an emergent subject of many researches in ubiquitous computing. Despite different approaches for context modeling, we notice that there is still no consensus and their context models are either incomplete or domain specific. This paper aims to synthesize these approaches and proposes a context model which should be general to be used by different user-centered mobile applications, specific to cover the main contextual entities proposed in the literature, flexible to allow an extension and to take into account new entities specific to a given application domain. To fulfill these requirements, we adopt an ODM (Ontology Definition Meta model) approach. The principal objective of the ODM is to bridge the gap between traditional software tools for modeling and artificial intelligence techniques for making ontologies. Using such an approach is possible to create a high level modeling and benefit from all the advantages of both spaces.

We consider the problem of appropriate clusterhead selection in wireless ad-hoc networks where it is necessary to provide robustness in the face of topological changes caused by node motion, node failure and node insertion/removal. The main contribution of our work is a new strategy for clustering a wireless AD HOC network and improvements in WCA. We first derived a simple stability model and thereafter a load balancing clustering scheme. We showed that our algorithm outperforms the Weighted Clustering Algorithm (WCA) in terms of cluster formation and stability. One of the main ideas of our approach is to avoid clusterhead re-election and to reduce the computation and communication costs by implementing a non-periodic procedure for clusterhead election which is invoked on-demand. We strived to provide a trade-off between the uniformity of the load handled by the clusterheads and the connectivity of the network.

In this paper we propose a multi-agent approach for modeling an industrial system (boiler). A Multi-Agent System (MAS) are used in order to modeling a complex system which requires the consideration of its several parts. A system which can often be tackled from different angles. We have identified the set of problems to solve, searched and find convenient multi agent models for their resolution. Then, we implemented our application by using a MADKIT platform. Thus, the goal of our work is to build a data processing simulator containing agents enable to translate this complex industrial system into a data processing program that can represents its behavior, its interaction, its control loops and verify the integrity and proper functioning of the system, it can also be used as a means of mastering the complexity of these systems. Thus, we are basing on multi-agent formalism. This formalism is very used for the modeling of complicated systems.

Using the anonymity feature of GDSS (Group Decision Support Systems) meeting application as a backbone, this paper is aimed to find out whether enhancing technical anonymity in the GDSS supported meetings will increase participants' confidence in the software's confidentiality, causing more productive discussions. Some Anonymity Enhancing Technologies (AETs) are discussed, and their impact on ensuring anonymity is investigated. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with experienced facilitators, technical support individuals and users of GDSS meeting software, from real business environmental settings. The `FacilitatePro' and `MeetingSphere' meeting applications were investigated for the research. The paper illustrates some results, and proposes future research related to AETs in GDSS supported meetings.

Complex systems have many aspects to be modeled. So it is necessary to implement mechanisms to allow coupling and coexisting of heterogeneous formalism models. Transformation of that kind of models to a pivotal model is a technique within this context. This paper proposes a Petri nets translation approach to DEVS <;<; Discrete Event System Specification >> models. It is an algorithm permitting to systematically transform places and transitions to atomic DEVS models. Coupling those models generates a coupled DEVS model as well, which is able to be run on DEVS based platforms, taking advantage of that formalism power related to hierarchical and coupled models.

Warehousing projects can know cases of failure because they did not take into consideration the users' needs especially if they are not experienced with the technologies of data warehouses. The solution consists on building the data warehouse incrementally by designing and implementing one data mart at a time. In this work we propose a method to design data mart schema from OLAP requirements that are presented as schemas and grouped according to their domain. We apply the data integration technique to merge the different schemas so that we get one data mart schema by group. The integration is composed by schema matching (detecting semantic correspondence and the conflicts) and schema mapping (solving the existing conflict).

This paper presents the results of a study of Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) coherent reception bit by bit. The research was conducted using statistical modeling methods; the results are compared with the statistical modeling calculation of analytical expression given in previously published documents. In the last year, the discrete signals became widely employed; and with more perspective in the digital systems for transmission of information, the QAM signals became more beneficial due to its high spectral efficiency. The satellite communications systems are evolving very quickly, so the purpose of developing this kind of research is to maximize the efficiency in the communication rate with the minimal error, during the limited communications time while satellite transits the user's horizon.

The Integration of distributed information systems, autonomous, heterogeneous and adaptable to the context represent the current needs of system information. Based on the advanced technology of SOA, Web services can evolve in a dynamic environment in a well-defined context and according to events automatically, such as time, temperature, location, authentication, etc. This is what we call self-adaptability to context. In this paper, we are interested in improving the different needs of this criterion and we propose a new approach towards a self-adaptability of SOA to the context based on workflow and showing the feasibility of this approach in the pervasive e-healthcare system.
